Tess was born to a German father and a Japanese mother. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University. She studied abroad; traveled in Paris, Brussels, Tokyo and lived in London. Tess absorbed theatre, art, philosophy and history, reading everything from Tacitus to Shakespeare, Saint Augustine to Jean-Paul Satre. She attended Graduate School at the prestigious University of Southern California as a student in the Master's of Professional Writing Program.
Tess has been an international model, working in Japan, throughout Europe, and the United States. She also worked for the Playboy organization˜appearing in Playboy Magazine, on the Playboy Website and was featured in the video, "Playboy's Girls of the Internet.”
An award winning playwright, Tess was a semi-Finalist in the British Short Screenplay Competition, a Semi-Finalist in Scriptapalooza and a Semi-Finalist in the Arizona Arts Commission Screenwriting Competition. She was recently awarded a Katz Award for her talent and commitment, touching the lives of those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS.
Tess currently divides her time between Los Angeles and Phoenix, where she resides with her menagerie of animals.
